Lewisham Works utilises registration wizards that have accessibility issues pertaining to this standard. There are many instances whereby element IDs are not unique. Time has been set aside within the development plan to resolve the accessibility issues that reside within the registration wizards that are used on the portal. The accessibility issues that have been found within the client and vacancy wizards will be resolved by January 2024. Accessibility issues found within the enterprise registration wizards will be fixed by April 2024.
There are many instances whereby the Lewisham Works website fails against this standard. This is primarily because of the registration wizards utilised on the portal. Issues such as form fields not being labelled, inline frames being left without alternative text have been identified within the forms by accessibility softwares. These registration wizards have been placed within the development schedule and are due to be fixed. The accessibility issues that have been found within the client and vacancy wizards will be resolved by January 2024. Accessibility issues found within the enterprise registration wizards will be fixed by April 2024.
We regularly carry out accessibility tests on our websites to make sure they are compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We use Wave and Siteimprove Chrome extension tools to help us identify and fix usability and accessibility issues.
